Ervema

ERVEMA agrar Wöhlsdorf is one of the leading agri-food players in Thüringen’s Greiz district.

ERVEMA agrar is one of three companies having joined forces, the others being Agrarhandelsgesellschaft Aumatal and RAVESTA Rape Processing Staitz.

ERVEMA agrar Gesellschaft Wöhlsdorf

The company cultivates and manages a total of several thousand hectares of agricultural crops.

The focus is mainly on cereals, rapeseed, and corn. Grassland cultivation is by the pasture for the cattle raised in the operation. Cereal crops are cultivated both to turn them into feed for the own stock and to market them through the sales partner, Agrarhandelsgesellschaft Aumatal.

Rapeseed harvest is used at RAVESTA Rape Processing Staitz for pressed oil.

Animal production is centred on dairy and beef production, along with own-stock reproduction.

Staitzer Brunnenstraße 5

Headquartered at Staitz, the company operates a biogas plant at the sites of Auma, Clodra, Staitz, and Niederböhmersdorf.

The lost heat of these plants is recuperated for local homes via the networks connected to, and fed by, the respective plants.

Recuperated heat is also used in the stables of ERVEMA agrar and for the agri-trade facilities.

The company also operates a rapeseed press that is used for pressing rapeseeds into oil for non-food use.

The cake that remains after the pressing process is recycled for the largest part as feed at ERVEMA agrar.

Agrarhandelsgesellschaft Aumatal

Staitzer Brunnenstraße 5
07955 Auma-Weidatal

Headquartered at Staitz, the Agri-trade Company Auma Valley—that’s the literal meaning of its name—is a trader for cereal crops, rapeseed, animal feed, and fertiliser and provides services in the agricultural business.

Cereal crops and rapeseed are sold to ERVEMA agrar and other farmers in the area.

The focus is on cereal crop trade, and the halls and silos of the company total 23,000 tons of storage capacity. Purchased crops are mainly sold to mills and malting plants.
