The General Classification is the result of the individual times of every rider added up stage after stage, considering any bonifications and penalties. The leader in this classification is the rider with the lowest cumulated riding time. In case of identical clocked times, the tenths or hundredths of a second clocked in time trials will be used to determine the better of two riders. If times are still identical, the better rider shall be the one with the lower number in the addition of all individual placings across all stages. If this still allows no decision, the placing at the last completed stage shall determine.
